    Good evening,
Welcome to my 33,000th like celebration thread

Thanks to @l.cutler for that like ;)

This morning I created a thread about my new Metal Detector. The Vanquish 440 by Minelab.
I took it for a run and so far I like it. Light machine, easy functions and deep signals showed up pretty well.. But I would like to try the machine a few more times before I can recommend it for anyone looking to purchase a detector.

Best find today were two 1800's Indian Head Cents. One in pretty good shape and the older one kind of corroded.

Here are my totals for today -
    25C - 16 each
    10C - 23 each
    5C - 4 each
    1C - 28 each
    1C - Wheat Cent 3 each
Iron Skeleton Key (It broke when cleaning)
    1 - NYC Subway Token
    1 - 10 Cent Euro España
    1 - Game Token
    1 - Broken Ring
    Misc metal.

Nice finds! I have a Minelab 70 and a Goldbug 2 like them both. The Goldbug can find some really small stuff. I found the back of a silver ear ring which really surprised me.

I've got an Equinox 600 that I like pretty well. My problem is that I have trouble getting out detecting often enough to stay familiar with the detector and it's settings. It seems as though I am always starting all over! Oh, congrats on the like milestone!

The oldest coin I've ever found is this 1821 (I think Spanish coin) in Western Virginia. I was told that the notch that is missing was the way they verified that it was silver. Probably not worth anything but silver value. It weighs 25.5 grams

Nice finds. But, is it 30,000 or 33,000? I thought you had your 30TH sometime back.

I was sure that I read another thread telling me this was your daughter’s new detector. ;);)

Correct. But it will be taken care by me. She lives with her mother who I am divorced from. In no way do I want her to take it home to be used by someone else. When I have her with me I will plan to do some detecting together ;)
