    Hello All,

Here is another small group of error coins I wanted to post on here to see if anyone has any comments on the type of error, rarity, value, whether it's worth it to be graded, etc. As always, any comments are greatly appreciated and any discussion is encouraged.

I thought I would continue on the theme of my previous thread and post some additional foreign coins with errors. The difference with this thread is that all the coins included appear to be genuine coins and have genuine (although some are very minor) errors.

NOTE #1: Error #69 is an Australia gold Sovereign dated 1925-S that appears to have a die crack from the obverse rim near 6:00 to the George V bust truncation, then extending along the neckline toward the B.M. initials. Weight is ~8.0 grams.
NOTE #2: Error #70 is a Great Britain 4 Pence dated 184x that appears to be struck off-center. Weight is ~1.8 grams.
NOTE #3: Error #71 is a Philippines U.S. Administration 10 Centavos dated 1917-S that appears to have a clipped planchet and weakness on the rim opposite of the clip. Weight is ~1.9 grams.
NOTE #4: Error #72 is a British India 1/2 Rupee dated 1944(b)-DOT that appears to have a very minor clipped planchet (not even through the security edge). Weight is ~5.8 grams.

    Now to the coins.....

It is a Incomplete (clipped) Planchet. The weakness opposite to the clip is called the Blakesley Effect.

    #72
Minor Edge Incomplete (clipped) edge. No Blakesley Effect occurs since it is a smaller example.

#69 In my limited experience, I'll say that most people who collect gold coins want it for either bullion, or for their sets. Most gold collectors I know would say that the die cracks distract from the coin and would not consider it to have any added value.
#70 appears to be an Off-center strike, but with the circulation, damage, and cleaning, it's likely not going to get any real premium.
#71 concur with @paddyman98 . You can see the blakesley effect: http://dniewcollectors.blogspot.com/2012/04/blakesley-effect-on-clip-error-coins.html?m=1. This should have a premium over the coin's value.
#72 concur with @paddyman98 , but no premium due to how small it is.

#69 The sovereign looks to also have a die clash.

Thank you all for your replies. All of the information is greatly appreciated. The Blakesley Effect totally slipped my mind when posting this thread.

As always, I appreciate all of the comments and replies on here and hope to get another lot of errors posted on here soon. I will be posting a new thread with another lot of errors soon. I welcome everyone to view/reply to that thread. If anyone has any other comments regarding this thread, feel free to reply.
