Howdy folks. Casper Evans here and I'm new to coin talk. I was trying to get some information on a one sided penny I came across with the A and M touching on the tails side and completely flat on the other. I read about magicians coins but this isn't the case. I have several pictures of it but cannot meet the size requirements to post. Can anyone help? I've only ever collected silver quarters and dimes for my nieces. This coin seems impossible to me.

Hey, glad you got it! Now one more thing, crop them and post full size. Seems like I can see where the reverse was ground or filed off. How much does it weigh?

Welcome to CT Casper. It lookslike someone may have ground the obv. side off since the zinc core is showing . But I'm not sure about that from just looking at the photo.

+3 You can still see Lincoln's bust so it was there at one time.

Welcome to CT, Casper. Stick around for awhile, like Mikey with Life Cereal, I bet you'll like it. And I agree with those who have responded already.

The close A M tells us the date is 1993 or newer.

There's really no need for the weight. But it is important to own a gram scale.
