    I have not, but familiar material! The teacher who first got me interested in numismatics studied in graduate school with the author. I’m sure he’ll be interested in seeing this.

    A very prescient post, given current advocacy for MMT (modern monetary, or unlimited central bank financing of government spending). Thoughts, anyone? Is MMT blatant currency debasement?

    This looks fascinating, particularly the sections on silver and gold mining and flan production.

    I placed it in queue for our library's ordering several months ago. Amazon shows a release date of 20 April. A friend told me one of the chapters shows much earlier debasement of Roman gold than we had expected. Can't wait to see it.
