i just picked up these 2 beauties. these 2 notes have become the GEMS of my collection to date. lol they sure cost me the most. enjoy:kewl: 1928 A $5 CHICAGO FRN DISTRICT "7" GEM and the new big dog in town 1928 $20 CHICAGO FRN DISTRICT "7" PMG GRADED 64 CU NICE **TRINARY*** they set me back quite a bit but will look lovely in the collection.
Nice notes I would have to agree. Im not into collecting bills but the FIVE on the sides of the bill looks really cool.
yes but i look at it as investment. i dont plan on getting rid of it for many long years. they are great notes to add to my collection. old paper stuff is going to be harder to get in these high grades before to long. plus they are just so darn nice looking notes :thumb: i have seen some of the beauties you have posted recently. so i know you must have spent some nice change. in you ever want to get rid of the '29 Chicago national note just let me know
er i am completing the chicago collection like you but our pitched battles wont take place before 2011 at the earliest
Urbanchemist.... Great notes and at that price point I think you did well! Numeral notes are always at a premium and not that many are around in Gem! I have quite a few and all of them were expensive. Small size FRN are the notes of the future and are currently showing verygood price appreciation! We only need to find 10 more folks who want to collect the other FRBanks...how cool would it be to have 12 Paper Money CoinTalkers with full sets of notes from 1914 thru 2006 including stars!! Great additions for sure...just wait till you start paying for the $50 and $100's... RickieB
i agree thats why i got them. now i have 3 graded notes in the collection. this $20 takes the cake so far and it goes along with this similar *note i have :secret::high5: i almost snagged a $50 & $100 but they were XF at best. so i passed on them
too late i didnt realize my post count ... so i think this is now my 5001 .. oh-well.. at my current rate, i will hit 10,000 soon maybe then
