I've only been at this for a little while now but today at work a lady brought in a bag of change and there was a 1937S buffalo nickel in it! I was so excited! I've had one before but it was before I was interested in coins and I just ended up spending it! So this is my first one saved! Not a big deal I know but I was excited!

Well for some reason I can't upload a picture right now. I'll try later.

Nice. I found a 1918 Indian head a few years ago. At least VG. I take it out every so often hoping just once there'd be a seven behind the eight

I got my first and only buffalo a month ago. It was a gift from my CT friend Rusty.

Congrats - One of the perks of handling a lot of money :) I had to search hundreds in rolled nickels before I found my first Buffalo. I have also found a 1905 Nickel :) They are out there if you look hard enough and long enough!

Thanks guys! I finally was able to post a picture so I updated my first post in this thread with the pics. It's not great (condition or picture).

Looks nice to me for a found coin. I do not do a lot of searching, but never found a buffalo nickel that I can find. Still a nice find. Is that a 37-D?

That is in really nice condition for a coin from circulation! Again - Congrats! :)

    It's a 37 S Buffalo Nickel

Even cooler in my mind. Only 5.6 million minted versus the 17 and 79 million.

Nice condition. I've pulled a few buffalo's out of change but they have always been worn dateless.

But that is a start. More than I have found. And there are techniques to bring out a date, just search the forum. I am not sure I would try them, but who knows.

Yeah nic-a-date. I've heard it makes ugly blotches though.

I think so also, but I was talking about other methods. I think one of them is olive oil or something like that. I am not an expert at that stuff.

Hmmm. Never heard of that. I've heard of letting sit in vinegar for a few weeks, but I don't have the patience to wait that long, lol. I will have to google the olive oil thing. Thanks.

And it could very well have been vinegar. :) Just not something I committed to memeory. Especially since I never find buff's in change. Sigh.
