A take on the Temple of Seti's supposed hieroglyphs showing a helicopter and a tank...according to fakearchaeology.com http://www.fakearchaeology.wiki/index.php/Temple_of_Seti_I_Helicopter_hieroglyphs
Wow, it's JUST LIKE the Solar System -- except that if those are planets around the Sun, they got the number and relative sizes/brightnesses completely wrong, and didn't even try for anything else. (No rings, no bands, no surface features.) So, other than being entirely wrong in every detail, it's eerily accurate.
Recent observations by NASA scientists concluded there are two planets beyond Pluto/ one the size of Neptune. Also the Sumerian tablet shows the Sun (Star) with 11 planets orbited it. Copernicus, the German astronomer only suggested that in 1520s. Another thing about Gobekli Tepe in E. Anatolia. never mind its from 9000BC/ some of the animals in the carved designs are not endemic to the region. Noah's Ark was according to the Bible nearby on Mt. Ararat, possible answer? Also, the Olmec people of Mesoamerica carved huge heads out of Basalt, the features are more African, another mystery that no one has answers for. With new LIDAR tech. many forgotten civilizations will be detected, that are now buried with sediment/ vegetation.
It's a pity these civilisations didn't leave more "litter" about. Look at the "African" Easter Island statues.. yep the evidence wouldn't convince a10 year old but would convict in Louisiana!
Ancient Aliens, lost civilisations, occult knowledge, "illuminati" messianic millennium cults, where people believe they are part of something big that is going to change the world - and no matter what the evidence, once they've signed up, it's very hard for them to admit they are wrong. "When prophecy fails they believe more strongly,". "Particularly if you have invested something, not only money, but belief, reputation, intelligence. Luckily for many people Aliens have stopped the probing and the kidnapping and appearing in the mid-east and have moved on appearing in remotest Brazil or Mississippi so that only the brightest and best human minds have the epiphanies, far away from the madding crowds and unfortunately all functioning recording devices. What was the point of an advanced civilisation if it disappears-didn't they know that!
The Alien abduction phenomenon peaked in the 70's and has been gradually declining since then it seems. Fewer movies (e.g. Close Encounters) are being made about it. Overall, it's very unlikely there were ever visitors from zeta reticuli. However it didn't stop the Area 51 sit in last year, with hundreds of thousands of folks signed up. Still, if there were aliens, they are awfully slippery and appear only to yokels or other unknowledgeable people who never have evidence.
Although Zecharia Sitchin hasn't been mentioned by name in this thread, his discredited ideas about Sumeria has been. I suggest this website put together by a 'scholar of biblical and ancient Near Eastern languages, cultures, and religions' as a counterbalance. http://www.sitchiniswrong.com/
I once had a discussion with someone who was totally convinced that all languages in the world derive from Sanskrit, which he claimed originated thousands of years before Sumerian. I tried to explain the complete lack of any evidence for that theory but he simply refused to listen. He was "woke," as they say.
I was giving a talk one time on Hieroglyphics and an audience member came up to me claiming that aliens from the Pleiades cluster had invented them and "gifted" them to the proto-Egyptians. He had an unshakeable belief in this theory, even if not backed up by any evidence whatsoever.
People are surprisingly gullible. It's well-established that hieroglyphics weren't a gift at all but a negotiated trade. The Egyptians were fortunate that the Pleiadians eat sand. Phil Davis
