So, my grandma keeps a cup of change in her car that she throws her spare change into every once in a while. As I was down in Phoenix, I saw that she added to it, so I checked it out. I was looking through (for cents) I came across this, and almost didnt pay attention to the date because of the condition it was in (it still has a lot of original luster, although the pictures dont show it) Here we are, welcome to 1940 :

Congrats - Nice looking nickel!!! I think that one would have been a real beauty when it was first struck - looks like the surfaces might have been close to mirrored at one time. It would replace my 40P from circulation as well.
yeah, I was surprised by the amount of luster on it. My other 40P I found this summer, and it had some dirt and stuff on it, and was much more worn down (probably F-15 or so) - so this is quite the upgrade, and for FREE too :goofer:
