I will get pics up a little later. My camera battery was as dead as it comes and I just put it on the charger. I really need to get my scanner out of the closet. Anyways I found a 2003 $1 with the serial number 51155511 I also found a star note I'm saving. I find those all of the time but don't keep them all. I got those both at work. Then I went out for lunch and in my change got a $1 serial number 00005119. I don't see many notes with that many leading 0's and I've never found a "binary" and I go through ALOT of money everyday.
Great finds kdkenn - is the 5 in decent condition? The low numbers get more interesting when they are down to three numbers - but still not bad
Well I made a mistake on my post again. LOL The binary is a $1 not a 5. I think the 1's and 5's confused me. LOL It's not in perfect condition. It has folds and wrinkles but no marks or tears. The zeros one I know isn't that low but it's one of the lowest I've found. Thanks for looking! I am updating my post with pics.
kd...a note does not have to be perfect to be collected. There are a few maniac's out there like me who strive for the best we can afford...LOL Many a note are XF to AU hold some premium..like that $1 leading with 4x0's....thats a keeper. RickieB
Thanks RickieB. Honestly the picture makes it look a little better than it does look in person. Since the bills that I'm finding and collecting are from circulation it is hard to find "perfect" notes.
Yep...scans are known to hide imperfections in notes...always try to get and hold a note before you buy it unless it is graded by a TPG. Many folks feel differently about TPG's but when you spend thousands on a single note, it does make a difference... Good luck to you... RickieB
Nice notes kd working as a teller does pay off so to speak I've just picked up a Canadian 1973 $1.00 with "BAL 0600000" that's about the best I've done regards Harry :stooge:
No biggie - we're human - except for Spock Too bad the low number note didn't end in 5 then they would be a nice pair. Would still keep them both. Darryl
