Was reading a thread in another section about software for mac's and started wondering what the would coin collectors were using for windows based systems. I am currently using microsoft access and there has to be a better way I would be interested in a program that you can upload your own photos in Thanks Kevin
i use a spreadsheet program. if i'm looking for something in the spreadsheet, the find feature works well. for sorting, i have enabled the filtering feature and can sort out by various columns. -Steve
Hello Kevin..:hail: Welcome to Coin Talk.. I use Collection Studio for my coins as well as MS Excel. Tryout the trial version of CS before buying. There are also other softwares but I'm very satisfied with CS so I never given others a try. Google to find its trial download link or else let me know and I'll find it for you. Cheers.:smile
G'Day mate the demo of C.S. didn't work for me I couldn't upload onto the demo I don't know if your supose to but I need to know how well it works regards Harry
Here is the link from where I downloaded mate: http://www.eurodownload.com/download-software/5171/Collection-Studio.html My version is older so don't know much about this version. The installer should work fine. Try again. The one you downloaded might be corrupt program. PM me if you still get probs while installing.
Thanks for the feedback, I think I am going to try the program that was suggested, Like I said i currently use Access, but feel there has to be a better way
i have over 10,000 coins in my spreadsheet - very easy to drill down - here's a link to the spreadsheet i modified http://typesets.wikidot.com/free-coin-templates
That template contains more info than I enter into mine. Perhaps it would be useful to have it all but it's time consuming enough as it is. I just log: country KM# denom date/mm notes (e.g. variety or if it's a commem what it commemorates)
