Hi guys, Is this a rare series? And can anyone tell me a website that has info on series counts and such so I can look up other star notes. Thanks.
Okay someone correct me if I'm wrong because I'm just learning this. I bought a new book this weekend and if I'm learning right it was printed in San Francisco from a run of 19,840,000 and in UNC 63 it is worth about $6. I got this info from The Official Red Book A Guide Book of United States Paper Money. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm learning here.
Nope you have that right. I and others here also use the book "Standard Guide To Small-Size U.S. Paper Money - 1928 to Date" which shows the same information. You could also check out http://www.uspapermoney.info/ and get more information. Hope these help. Smaugy
According to my sources...that is correct for a Series 1999 San Francisco $1 star note with that serial number. That is a large print run for a star note and therefore the note is pretty common. But, it's still a neat find and for $1 I'd hang on to it.
Yay! LOL I know something like that is so simple for you but that was the first "answer" and not a question that I think I've given on here and the fact that I was right! No matter how simple the question is exciting to me! LOL
Look in my signature for the star note lookup site. That star note is common and isn’t in the best condition. I’d spend it.
John...images are the best way to get an educated guess..if you have an image, please post it a separate thread as not to hijack this one... Looking forward to seeing it!! RickieB
