Following in the footsteps of @QuintupleSovereign this is my Scandinavia set, on the Dansco continental red line. Norwegian coins are yet to come.. sometime..

    Enjoy!

Nice! Are the Norwegian coins the hardest or most expensive coins, or you just haven’t hunted them yet? Do Norwegians not like commemoratives? What’s the price range for coins in this album?

Thanks! Well, I haven't bought the Norwegian coins yet, and of the four only one is hard and high value. The 2 Kroners from 1907 "Border Watch".

Another "serious" coin is the 2 Rigsdaler of Denmark 1863, the first coin on the first page.

And I still hope to complete the other series on a Dansco Continental Red Line, the German Republics Commemorative Coins. That album has been on a long break for a long time, and it still needs 2 coins...

I have one of the coins that you are missing @Seba79. However, it certainly isn't the prettiest or most album worthy specimen. For starters, some idiot tried making a broach out of it, and on top of that, it's harshly cleaned.

I have all the Norwegian commemoratives now except a few very recent ones. I was helped by a friend in Norway who gathered many of them for me; I picked them up in January. But I wasn't aware there was a Dansco. All the expensive ones are in NGC holders, and the more common ones in Lighthouse holders.

You're right about the 1907 Border Watch. That set me back a bit. But the advantage of picking up coins in Norway now is that the exchange rate HIGHLY favors the USD. The Norwegian kroner (NOK) is at an historically low level.

Anyone know of dealers selling only the Norwegian pages?

These albums haven't been made since the early 1960s, as far as I know.

Looks like there's a huge interest in these albums, which is why we need a manufacturer who can make them. I can do the design :)

Dansco might want to reconsider making new versions

It's so hard to find the 2 kroner 1914 "Mother Norway," (Mor Norge) in higher MS grades because it seems so many were used as jewelry or put into circulation. Ones that look really nice have often been cleaned, sometimes downright scrubbed.

I finally got one of the two missing norwegian coins, i think that in a few days I will have it in my hands. For the end, there will be a Border Watch version..
