Sorry, I should have said in my title "24 karat" Gold Buffalos. I didnt realize there was such a high demand for these coins.

Yeppers, my read was that they are suspending the sales of 1 oz buffalos due to overwhelming demand and will resume when they can catch their breath and begin an allocaton program.

At least they're not blaming it on a lack of planchets.

Anyone else feel that we're 5 minutes 'til midnight?

Meanwhile the RCM(Royal Canadian Mint) is advising that it has plenty of stocks available to draw on to meet demand. So in my estimation, good move on the RCM's part in being able to ante up the goods when demand ramps up, but the USM gets sloppy seconds once more.

Spock, don't you think the demand for these coins has something to do with the high-quality engraving...I mean, aside from just the bullion value? This isn't that tinker-toy manufacturing process they used on the Presidential Dollars. These are superbly-engraved coins, in every last detail, in and of themselves. I'm just talking about the demand, now. I just don't think they'd be out of stock on these if they were "engraved" like the Presidential Dollars. Heck, in that case, I think they'd have trouble giving them away (well...not exactly...but you know what I mean)!
