Have a Constantine II with the BEATA TRANQVILITTAS reverse , from the London mint. I cant seem to find anything on the two letters in the reverse fields one on each side of the altar, maybe I am reading them wrong. Can anyone help ?
Constantine II CONSTANTI-NVS IVN NC RDC left BEATA TRA-NQVILLITAS VOT - IS - XX 3 Stars above Left - P Right - A PLON London RIC VII London 216; Sear 17150 C3 321
Taking the time in determining proper identification and learning from that activity is why I only collect ancients. It really is worth the effort.
The spreadsheets found at the links below are infinitely helpful for attributing later Roman coins. http://www.catbikes.ch/coinstuff/coins-ric.htm http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dane/
...And this is why this hobby is so great!!! We all collect the same things, but do it in our own personal way...there are no rules!!! How cool is that!!!
Nice OP. I have a similar, more worn example...if I attributed this one correctly...my LRB skills are still "developing." Constantine II Æ 18 (322-323 A.D.) London mint CONSTANTI-NVS IVN N C, radiate, draped, cuirassed bust left, seen from back / BEAT TRA-NQLITAS, altar inscribed VOT-IS-XX, F-B across fields, three stars above, PLON. RIC VII London 255.
