rosemead inn its a lil far but you cant beat the price and they have dennys and ihop right next to it
Cheapest was Best Western (per AJ), but it is a little far. Maybe 1/2 mile. If you are going to drive, not a big todo. Respectable rooms with a safe. Sorry, I cannot do much more on the comparison side. Jack used to live there. He would have better info. Shuttle - as far as i could find NO. And I was rather surprised.
Supershuttle and Prime Time shuttle will get you to Long Beach from LAX for $30, in the event your hotel won't do it.
I actually lived in Hollywood, a short drive north of LB. There are the shuttles that Acanthite mentioned, but I just rent a car, they are cheap enough. Our Mustang convertible was $200 for 3 full days, I could have spent much less tho if I tried. Motels? Our Best Western was a good 5 blocks @ 119 a night I think. Next trip will be the Westin ( 1 1/2 block ) or the Hyatt ( attached ) but at a higher cost. All 3 have safes on the room. IF you don't plan on " touristing " no need for the car, pay extra for the room and your even with less walking. Westin and Hyatt both have great restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Long Beach is a rough town, dont stray too far with cash/coins on person. If you stay at or near the show your fine, it's those off the " Main Street " places that can get you in trouble.
Rosemead? Sure why not. You can join the Crips or the Bloods while your there too !! ( I hear the getting " jumped in " part hurts tho )
As a youngster ( 20's) the age, not the decade ) I wasted my youth on wine women and song while most of you were still in diapers, lol. I left Detroit in the early 80's for the fame and glitter of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams. All I have from it is the broken dreams part And a great bunch of " life experience ".:kewl: I worked in Canoga Park at RocketDyne, the Space Shuttle main engine plant as a machinist by day, rock star by night on the Sunset Strip. Guns and Roses was a bar band. Lived in a tiny apartment on Beechwood Dr, at the top of my street was the Hollywood sign and it was a 20' somethings heaven back then. Ahhh the days.
Seen them several times...heard rumors they may be making a comeback.. If I could go back in time, I'd go back to the 80's, I was poor, but life was better.
