Well fam, it only took 11 years for me to reach 10,000 posts--just as we all predicted. By and large I've been silent in posting the past several years, only lurking and poking my head in from time to time. I've been especially silent on the collecting front itself for nine years or so, with only a few bullion purchases here and there to hold me over. With the quarantine upon us, I've had a generous amount of time to get back into the numismatic world. I figured I'd make a bit of a splash with my first purchase in quite some time, and it just so happens to coincide with my 10,000 post on CT. @GDJMSP, I'll race you to 50,000.
Gorgeous! The last gold piece I bought was a 1924 MS-64 for around $1300; quite a good deal, in retrospect!
Everything’s all good. For now. The wife’s gonna flip when she finds out how much I spent to be $20 richer! That’s quite a deal given today’s price of gold! I would’ve killed to drop one that much! You’ve certainly outshined me in a shorter amount of time! I gotta pick up the pace! Hey man, it was either the mortgage or the mintmark! Ken really crept his way up there! Slow and steady.
