In Death Valley there's these rocks that move all by themselves and even leave tracks where they've been (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailing_stones).

Is that what happened with this thing? It looks like a chip got up, moved, and left a trail. Sorry about the photo quality, I'm getting better.

May not be valuable unless someone wants to start a numismatic X-Files, but at worst it's unique to me. Moving Cud.jpg

It's a Linear Plating bubble that was exposed at one end.

Definitely not a cud. That's something else.

This is a cud which involves the rim..

Thank you, Mr. Paddy. Do mere mortals ever learn all this stuph?

Also, do you know the story about the frog who took some knick knacks to the bank as collateral to get a loan? Hint: your nickname reminded me of it.

I'll ask my wife's father. Our son still thinks he was alive when Lincoln was.

For Mr. Frog and Mr. Paddy.
    Short version:
A frog takes a small glass replica of one of his relatives off his fireplace mantle to take to the bank to use as collateral for a loan. The loan officer, Ms. Patty White, had to ask her boss if she should accept what the frog brought. Her boss said........ "Sure! It's a knick knack Patty White. Give the frog a loan."
