nickel question

    So what do you think about the clad half dime proposal?

    I agrre. There may be tens of millions minted in most years, but the survivable rates of most dates in AU and higher grades, even for modern pieces is low. Nobody thinks to keep nice examples, thus they quickly wear through circulation. When was the last time anyone saw an AU 1963 nickel in their pocket change?

    I'd hang onto the nice ones. Someone out there will want it and there aren't many to be found.
