Just came across this 10-cash Zhili. Diameter 33.5mm weight 15.0g. Size & weight seem OK and calligraphy checks out fairly well with Hartill 22.1051 but what about the rim? It's very rounded. I have never seem a Qing cast coin with such a rim. Given the condition of the rest of the coin, it can't be explained by wear & tear Anyone got any ideas? I don't want to write this off as a fake cos it's in nice condition.
With the pitting and the rough square cutout (hole) and the roundness of the inner rim, it sure looks like a cast copy to me but I don't know these well enough to go further than that. Ribbit
