For those of you who know Medieval coins please ID this one for me, I understand it may be during the reign of: King Bela II (the Blind) Reign: Hungary & Croatia: 1131 - 1141 AD. I would like to know how the Obverse & reverse are described , I can find many similar coins but not this exact one??
Bella II Denar Obv.: Cross with pellet in each angle, surrounded by four crescents and four small crosses. Rev.: Cross with wedge in each angle, strokes instead of legend Frynas H.11.6 Frynas also has a question mark next to the coin. Since there is no legend, there is no certainty it was minted under Bela II. There are a lot of anonymous denars from Hungary where this is the case
