Pretty happy when I finally come across this coin. Any thoughts are appreciated! DSC02175.JPG DSC02180.JPG

    Die Clash.. Nice one!

But I think the Term "Prisoner or Prison Cent" applies to a Memorial Building Die Clash.
    But maybe this issue also.

I think they are both prisoner cents as they have the same vertical bars.

So I must not be the only one that likes slashed die coins . So far I have not found any from the shield cents. I do have a few of the really nice bison 5 cent coins. My best one is a counter clashed Jefferson nickel that has extra design and letters from the second die clash.

Nice die clash. The prison Cent is for memorial Cents. Not sure what they are called with the shield as the result is similar.

There are a few truly rare and awesome die clashes out there somewhere , Wejust have to find them . Some of them are so severe that the mint workers shut the machine down and removed the damaged dies. Sometimes the dies were reground and polished and put back into production. I have two different types of major error coins that were produced in this way from the same set of dies.
