There was an interesting film on television this morning, "Dime with a Halo", made by MGM in 1963. The dime, a 1929 Mercury, only makes an appearance in the title. Not a real coin, but Garbo's QUEEN CHRISTINA (1933) has a fantasy thaler with Garbo's visage on it well shown in the film. The first image is a screen grab - B/W, of course. The second what it looks like in reality.
