Well, my daughter did attend the ceremony and purchased two of the medallions and they finally arrived. I was so disappointed as I understood that they were minting a 1870 Seated Dollar design. Obviously I was mistaken and must have misread or the literature just wasn't clear, as it is just a half troy ounce of .999 fine silver with a design. I guess in another 150 years, or if silver goes way up, it might, just might be worth more than I paid.
I think what you want will be the mint's medal (not coin) for the anniversary. AFAIK it's not on the schedule yet.
I think you're overly optimistic: "On July 16, 2019, a bill was introduced [H.R. 3757] proposing to strike commemorative Morgan and Peace dollars on the premises of the Nevada State Museum in 2021..." But it looks like this bill is going nowhere: https://coinsblog.ws/2020/03/no-2021-silver-dollars-for-you.html
Both of the 2021 commemorative programs are spoken for, the Christa McAuliffe and the national law enforcement memorial.
Maybe they'll use the Seated Dollar design in a new replica for the upcoming "New Replica Release Party - Mint 150".
They actually began minting a replica 1870 CC half dollar in August 2019. From the Mint's website: HOW TO GET YOUR 1870 CC HALF DOLLAR I tried calling to confirm availability, but only got an answering machine.
Maybe it's not too late. March 27th update... New legislation seeks Morgan and Peace silver dollar bullion coins for 2021
Wow, $125.00 for what amounts to a glorified fractional silver round with that hideous “COPY” sticking out like 2 sore thumbs? No thanks.
