Just trying to educate! I've done this for years as part of a proprietary process. Try it, and you may understand the physics principles. You're probably correct, it shouldn't be tried without an understanding. My instructions are essential for success without destroying the Magnetron.

So if your postal service worker or ups, FedEx driver who delivered the mail ,package has the virus you have no concerns?
Or his co worker at the post office.....is positive but no one knows.....! Not even the person who is infected.

Uh...view bacteria destruction...no. One coin under water in a microwave will not go above the boiling point of the water. Two coins in close proximity will arc, and I don't think this is a good idea.

I agree. What else do you have to do with your spare time? I went for a ride a few days ago just to get out of the house. I walk around the block a couple of times to keep the muscles moving, but other than that, I check my coins (those that never received a good look-over). Sad to say, I have not found anything of consequence, yet, I'm still looking. Also, get out in your yard and rake those leaves that seem to come from nowhere. The vagrant leaves in my neighborhood seem wander up the street and down the street, then the wind stops. Result: they collect in my yard. Be safe out there my friends.

Are you telling me that 212 degrees F. and above (i.e. with a cover) will not kill normal bacteria which might be found on surfaces of a coin?

I believe you'll find technical reports state: Bacteria are typically killed at temperatures of around 68 °C (154 °F).

I would explain why physics would deny your understandings, but who am I to refute such statements posted by multiple "experts" who apparently, by number, know more than me/I.

I defer to superior testimony/"statements"?, but would give you odds on an appreciable P.M. wager (not necessarily monetary), based on yours(i.e. multiple) statements.

I hope that my offer isn't a violation.

I have read that silver and copper kill the corona virus. This might be a good time to fondle our silver and copper coins (only the rougher, circulated ones). Just a thought. I have a 1.5 liter bottle of stripped copper wire I intend to fondle a bit.

CDC.gov has a list of "Chemical Disinfectants" including Chlorides (household bleach) that are effective. Bleach is a good example, 10 parts water and 1 part bleach in a spray solution. Bleach can also be used to purify water (if contamination is suspected) a few drops per gallon. I've used bleach for a disinfectant on surfaces prior to the outbreak to protect my employees from the HCV virus which can live for a week and up to a month in some circumstances on some surfaces.

No one has proven this to be factual!

They do not always wear the PPE, my wife is a carrier and we're both sick. We live in WA. State and are under self quarantine for almost 2 weeks, we cannot get tested at this point even though I have underlying health issues that were dangerous prior to this outbreak. Several people in her office are sick. Whether the PPE is available or not it's up to the individual to use it.

You place to much emphasis on fondling, try learning some factual information and stop the misinformation.

I’d be looking at the ship date when you open your received packages. On more than one occasion I’ve received a shipment the day after it was mailed, even though it was first class mail and came from out of state.

I never said that boiling wouldn't kill bacteria, but only Superman could view them being destroyed (and maybe even hear their little screams with his super hearing). Wow, I am so sorry that you feel so put upon by people disagreeing with you.

Yes Meow has a hard time remembering not to put paws to face. It is so natural for Cats to do so. So Meow saves the grooming for home, and after a thorough washing.

It's a joke, Son! At my age, life is joyful! I definitely don't feel "set upon". Thanks for the "interaction", and I trust that my communication vain is acceptable. We have talked before briefly about where/how I enjoyed my experience when solving production problems, designing, installing high-speed cartridge converting equipment at the past 3M Camarillo plant. You live in a beautiful area. Enjoy!

I'm no longer held responsible when people ignore what they were told, and suffer the consequences. I've been told all my life, "that can't happen!", to show it can! At our age, life can be beautiful, as it's for me, hopefully for you/yours.

The rapid process where the coins become the boiling source is fun to watch as the coins form minute gaseous surface pockets that tend to separate the coins before an eruption from a virtually complete boiling surface. Water is such a wonderful predictable heat transfer mechanism, where the temperature can be controlled by containment pressure.

I hope no irritation was received or intended.
