I recently found a coin with a clear 1792 date, is 28mm in diameter and made of copper I think. On the obverse it looks like a woman sitting facing the left with one hand on her knee and the other on something that looks like a harp. Around the outsid is the words "INCORPORATED BY ACT OF PARLIAMENT" The only thing I can make out on the reverse is what appears to be HMC in very fancy cursive. There is writing on the outer edge of the reverse but I can't read enough to figure out what it says. Also the outside edge has writing all the way around but I can't make out what it says.
Any ideas would really be appreciated of even just identifying what country it is from. I get the feeling it is a British coin.

Could be some mining token. On this page http://www.mining-memorabilia.co.uk/AIMC.htm there is a picture of one with the HMC monogram; that would be the "Hibernian Mining Company". But what I know about these comes close to zilch :)

Thank you for the info!! You nailed it right on the head!! They don't have the front of the coin but the reverse is exact and when I saw the picture I could begin to make out the wording. I also have the coin that is shown below that but it is worn to the point that you can see no detail. So you helped me solve 2 coins. Thanks again.

HIBERNIA refferes to Ireland, it is the Roman name

of that island. The british rule adopted that name for Irish coins in the 18th and 19th coins. I have 3 of them.

There is a series of late 18th Century Irish 1/2d. tokens that are known as Camacs. If yours is inscribed 'KYAN CAMAC & KYAN' or any other varieties, then it is one of these coins.
