I have one of those 1822 British West Indies coins also, and had never read the story about it. Thanks, good history lesson.

Here is something that came in today that I instantly fell in love with. It came as an unidentified Italian coin but luckily the legend was legible enough to ID it as an issue from the Duchy of Piacenza around the turn of the 18th century. It's listed as billon but my example appears almost entirely copper.

Here are 2 new additions to my collection. One is of King John I, who has been high on my want list but I refused to pay a lot for.

And the second is another Parthian to my side collection of Parthian figures I have been assembling just for fun & a change of pace.

Both are budget examples but I am happy to own.

This pair showed up yesterday from an old pal over in England.

 

These came a week ago. 3 more crummy old Kushans and an 1841 Mysore 20 cash.

 

I picked up a few. Some nice stuff appeared not sure if its the market from the virus.
