Picked it up for face today while getting lunch. Guy next to me paid for his lunch with it. Threw the early 20 something girl for a loop. Holding it up to the light looking for the security strip she asks "is this thing counterfeit?" At this point I ask, "what's the date on it?" I get back "the what?"

The girl was nice enough to hold onto it for me while I grabbed some extra cash. I believe she was honestly relieved to get rid of it.

Crease down the middle and a little warn, but not torn. Only other mark is the pencil check on the right, which is actually much more faint than the scan shows. All and all not bad for 58+ years old. I'm guessing the eatery would have been its last stop before it hit the bank and was pulled for the Fed fires...but you never know.

Certainly worth less than when it was printed :)

Well adjusting for inflation, definitely lol... though it still retains the same nominal value of course.

Nice find! I considered myself lucky when I found a $5 bill from 1995 lol...

Nice find....the condition is not too too bad...
Worth face for sure! To right collector a wee bit more than face.
