Is this a Doubled die reverse I see a doubled wheat on the left side if it is a doubled die is it worth getting graded or is it common for that year?
That has nothing to do with a Doubled Die Variety. But whatever it is looks interesting. Let me investigate.
oddly it's mostly the same shape but there's a lot of depressed PMD from the "O" in ONE up towards that area. Including ... if you really want to imagine it, the "5" between the wheat and O
I'm thinking a die clash. Have you looked at maddieclashes? I seem to remember reading an article where after a die clash, one of the pair of dies is removed and replaced. Then another clash event occurs transfering the clash onto the newly replaced die. I'm not sure of the term applied to this phenomenon, but I recall seeing pictures with a similar effect.
