Histman Too Many Coins, Not Enough Time!

Knowing that I was going to be alone at work (somehow I'm the "essential" one) my ladies at the bank wanted to make me a little happier at the end of the week. Friday they gave me a call to let me know my weekly coin pick up was ready. Every Friday I pick up whatever coin was deposited during the week by customers. This is what they had for me.

They recently changed banks from Rabobank to Mechanics Bank. The manager told me that Mechanics Bank told them they weren't allowed to give away customer wrapped coins anymore because it wasn't "customer friendly," since the rolls could be short. I've been picking up the coins from them for over three years and know the score. The manager smiles and makes an exception fro me. :) They collect anywhere from $100 to $2,000 a week, so always have something to do over the weekend. Yes, I do take care of them.

My bank had a similar policy, but I assured them that a small discrepancy was not a matter of concern for me. On the flip side, I try to ensure that on returning CRH coinage that's been searched, it keeps them (the bank) on the plus side. Customer rolled coinage is spotty with wilder swings, but when times are good...they can be very good. I'm glad your bank ladies extended you a courtesy call. Have fun on that CRH event.
