I'm not a Walker collector, but given the extra time on my hands from all the social-distancing I've been practicing lately, I decided to take a closer look at a couple of half dollar rolls I purchased a few months ago. The 1946 Walker caught my eye when I looked closely under a good light. Is this a doubled die reverse? Realize it's not a payday find, but an interesting error, nonetheless. I *think* it would grade at least VG. The motto looks either too weak or too blurred (or both) to make out any distinct doubling, although I can make out what appears to be doubling in several letters, plus the eagles wing feathers and right claw seem to further confirm - at least to me. I'd welcome opinions of any better-versed Walker collectors. Thanks - Charlottedude
very nice. I picked up one in an ANACS holder, I think the old soap bar slab. In MS 63. I got it back in 2008. What does yours grade?
I seem to think this is also a DDO "GOD" looks doubled to me unless its my rum googles deceiving me. It is the DDR. Here is another I bought just a few weeks ago . . .
The obverse is suffering from Die Deterioration. It might resemble hub doubling, but it is not a true double die.
