OK, I have gotten started with some pics.

1st of all is the 24-D NGC MS-65 BR. Lots of original crust on this one, and some PVC grit around the legend. Much red shines thru the skin, and don't forget, I have a new camera I am not used to. I will learn it along with you.

Funny thing is, I found this coin in the stamp section, 1 of only 3 coins in this guys whole display table, AND i had to borrow some cash from RLM to buy it, LOL, it was about an hour before we left. Nice find, and my last buy of the show.

Coin #2 is a 1909-S VDB, PCGS MS-64 RB. Bought this one from Mark Feld Thursday morning just before the show opened. It has a proud new owner already. Sharp clean surfaces and a nice mix of red and brown.

EDIT, lol, oops wrong slab pic

Very nice coins. That 24 D is sharp looking, even with the scratched holder. I see you had fun at the show.

AJ - I REALLY like the Feld coin. Wonderful. And, the Washington Unity is special too.

I like those PCGS pics and I see you have the same problem as I with NGC. Yours are better than mine, but that white (almost white) background just seems to kill the color. Try setting the white balance on an idle part of the slab. I think that will improve their color. Here is your 64 RB NGC S VDB reverse and all I did was to set the background white.

That is what I thought. Try it on your camera and see if you don't get something similar.

I will get out my camera manual today and try working with it. Also on the list is 2 clip desk lamps that I can aim properly. And my new Numismatic coin photography book should help as well.

With this caliber of coins, poor pics will kill value when you sell on the net.
