Does anyone know where I can get an exhibit case like the ones they have at shows that dealers keep their coins in? I need a couple for an exhibit and can not find a one.
I found these MrDSmith. Are these what you're talking about? http://www.displaycasecorp.com/portable_cases.php
They cost a lot though. The ANA curator said they were around $50. Maybe shipping is included in the price?
How big do they need to be? Here is one designed for jewelry-stones that is approx. 14x7x1 3/4 in. This company also has plastic inserts with different size compartments to go into the case. The inserts are about 1.20 or so. Jim http://www.alpha-supply.com/glass-top-wooden-display-case-full-tray.html
You're right, shipping is not included in the price but I guess they dont tell you how much it is until you order and go through the online checkout process. You also have to have a $200 dollar minimum order. I personally dont like that idea. I agree that you should be able to get them cheaper. I'll keep looking to see what I can find.
Here are a few more........... http://www.brent-krueger.com/displays.html http://www.kc-store-fixtures.com/portable_display_case.php
No, it isn't for the ANA, at least not yet. I wanted to make one for the Prez dollars, PDS and SMS and display it at my college during national coin week, and possibly give a talk. We'll see how it turns out. I might take it to LA if all goes well.
There's a few on Ebay thats a little cheaper. They look like the same ones in the sites that were provided above. http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_fr...sid=m270.l1313&_odkw=centerhead&_osacat=12576
