Is this dip coin?

  1. 20200321_200103.jpg 20200321_200129.jpg I'm new to coin hunting. I found this half dollar. I believe it is a 1971. Can anybody help me I dentify what happened to this coin. I put it side-by-side a regular 1991.

    If it was dipped, it was dipped in something really nasty and corrosive. Looks like it was mauled by machinery or some other heavily invasive technique.
