I always liked this one with the obverse clash marks looking like the sun beaming out from under the rock.

This is a tough coin to find. The reverse is clashed with the 1857 cent die.

This one, I believe, has it's original skin and has never been dipped. It is a PCGS MS-62 with a CAC green bean.

This one is a Proof which is also original. It is a PCGS PR-64. 1878 half dollar Pr O.jpg 1878 Half Dollar Pr R.jpg

The prices on the 1877 Twenty Cent Piece, which is a Proof-only date, went up like a sky rocket a few years ago. It is the scarcest the collectable date and mint mark combination, but it's not that rare. I have always liked the Twenty Cent, and I finally got to compete the set, minus the 1876-CC, in my old age.

I got "an offer (I thought) I couldn't refuse" on one with issues under the Heritage "make and offer to the owner" program. I ended up paying too much (In my opinion) for this one which is pretty nice. It's a PCGS PR-64 Cameo. The estimated surviving population for this issue is somewhere around 425 coins.

Finally took some pics of my half dollar... no motto. Officially on the hunt for the arrows and motto varieties. 7BE70004-92C3-4895-98D3-50FF8AD7B98D.jpeg 33DF6AE1-3478-4E98-8929-38CB783AE79F.jpeg

When it comes to U.S silver I focus primarily on the early issues. However, I am not immune to the seated series :).
