Partial Collar Dime?

    I was edge searching dimes for silver the other day and this popped out at me. I am pretty sure it is a partial collar error. Anyone have any thoughts? Am I right? Wrong? Thanks for looking :)

    definitely a tilted partial collar.

    It looks like it could be a "Tilted Partial Collar" strike to me. Nice find!

    Furry any luck on finding silver?? I search 3 box’s so far nothing... went to quarter..

    I dropped halves a few weeks ago. Just hunting cents now. Will start quarters again here in a couple weeks when the new "W"s come out.

    I just found a 1996 D dime that I thought was a partial collar error but mine is separated you can see 3 different layers that are not connected on the edge

    That would be the Oberse and Reverse Clad layers and the inner Copper Layer. The edge was probably worn down.

    You really need to post pictures for us to give you a accurate answer. Even better start your own unique thread wirh pictures. Try the Error Coins forum.

    That sounds like a acid soaked dime to me. Would ned pictures to be sure.
