recarved 1915 barber half

    this was a carving for a collector out west, as you can see the host coin was a 1915 barber half..the design was my own design....thought i would let members see different coinage i,ve carved on as host coins..

    Looks better than the original to me ;) Never did like the Barber designs - chocolate and vanilla I guess :)

    Thanks for the look, very impressive! I've dabbled a bit with wood carving, but never tried coins. What sort of tools do you use to produce these beauties? I was also curious as to the amount of time invested in such a piece.
