Sent a query last night, did not get any responses, does anyone know where I can obtain "Unopened Lincoln Cent Mint Bags" $50. Any help other than Ebay would be greatly appreciated. Surely, someone must still be selling this. Thanks for any help.
Mostly all you'll find is '58 to '64 and a few from the mid-'70's. Is this what you want? They shouldn't be too hard to find. If you can't find them on eBay then you might try dealer shops.
Yes, that would be great. Where would I go on internet to find. I have run a lot of searches and they come up empty ?
First hit on google "bag cents". http://74.6.239.67/search/cache?ei=...bags+cents+cent&d=drfssPReRZXm&icp=1&.intl=us Maybe there's really an end of these coming.
looking.................................. if it were me i think i'd be asking where can i find "unsearched" unopened bags of cents? of course, how can anyone be absolutely sure they weren't opened even if the claim is made? buyer BEWARE!!
Well they will typically be new canvas bags and sewn shut by an industrial machine. Most people do not have access to the industrial machines to be able to re-sew them. (I do but I'm not selling bags of coins.)
I have to admit I did consider it back in 2000 when the $25 bags of DE quarters were being purchased by idiots for $1,000 apiece. Empty bags and labels were easily available on ebay for very little, and I did have the industrial machine. I could put lightly circulated coins from the bank into the bags and sew them back up. After all, who was going to open a bag they paid $1,000 for when if they did it would only be worth $25.
