I recently found some old silver half dollar coins, and one old silver dollar. I'm trying to determine what they might be worth. Any help would be appreciated! Alright here is what I've got as far as I can tell. Silver Dollar: 1891 (no visible mint mark) Silver Half Dollars: 1938 1942-S 1942-D 1942-D 1942 1943 1943-D 1943 1943 1944 1948 1952 1952-D 1954-S 1961-D 1962 1963 1963 1963-D 1968-D
Condition of the coins will determine value as much as anything, but assuming they are average circulated the Morgan dollar would be in the $15 range. the Walking Liberty halves would run $6 to $8. The Franklin halves would be mabey $5 to $7 and the '68 Kennedy would be worth about a buck and a half or so. Now if these coins are mint state or close to then they would be worth more and if they have been cleaned they would be worth not much more then their silver value.
Those are relatively common dates, so unless they are in their original new condition, they have little value beyond that of their silver content. Silver prices have fluctuated wildly this year, and currently are half of what they had been just a few months ago. If you see inflation in the years/decades ahead, IMO the coins are worth hanging onto.
Well, the melt value of the coins is $115, so it can't be to much less! So none of the coins stick out as anything beyond melt value? There is no historical value in any of these coins?
