I also have an Alexander Balas Tetradrachm that I got a few years ago.. both coins are from the Petrowicz collection sold in 1925 (+ both were unlisted provenances that I found) + my Alexander the Great tetradrachm is also Seleukid..
I'm loathe to come in here and muddy up this thread (that is displaying such beautiful coins) with a ruddy bronze of my own. Yet, it is a Seleukid of Antiochos VIII. SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Cleopatra Thea & Antiochos VIII. 125-121 BC Antioch on the Orontes mint O: Radiate and diademed head of Antiochos VIII right R: BAΣIΛIΣΣHΣ KΛEOΠATΡAΣ KAI BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOΥ Owl standing right on fallen amphora, head facing SC 2263
Great new coin @arnoldoe . You are remarkably good at finding these old provenances. My hats off to your detective work. Congrats on another great addition.
