Just arrived, a Tetradrachm of Antiochos VIII. Antiochus VIII is known for marrying his cousin, killing his mom, fighting a civil war against his brother and being assassinated, the usual things....

Beautiful tetradrachm of Antiochos VIII! Very well struck. Is this your first Seleukid tetradrachm?

I also have an Alexander Balas Tetradrachm that I got a few years ago.. both coins are from the Petrowicz collection sold in 1925 (+ both were unlisted provenances that I found)

I'm loathe to come in here and muddy up this thread (that is displaying such beautiful coins) with a ruddy bronze of my own. Yet, it is a Seleukid of Antiochos VIII.

Great new coin @arnoldoe . You are remarkably good at finding these old provenances. My hats off to your detective work. Congrats on another great addition.
