Don't expect them to drop. Dealers who bought at higher prices aren't going to sell low - unless things really go into the dumper and they have to liquidate to stay alive, which is something we may all be facing. I don't want to start a political debate here but we really need someone in charge with a little common sense. I lost $10K in the market since Friday and I'm not a happy camper.

Economic meltdown or long overdue correction? Take your pick.

This can't be good for coin collecting or any hobby for that matter. I expect the prices to drop. People will be selling off their possessions to get money to pay bills. Cash is king and those with disposable income (and jobs) will be able to get some good coins at bargain prices. The economy scares the crap out of me right now, and I'm not buying any coins at the moment.

I'd expect some smaller coin shops will go bust, a/or revert to non-brick/mortar storefronts like the internet.
