    He is a nice co-worker. I did feel bad taking it, so I gave him an 1859 Cdn cent, a 1917 Cdn half dollar and a handfull of world coins. He was quite happy... said that he'd rather have something "old" anyway.

    No, not generous at all. It was really no better than VG-8 and was the worst example of three 1917s that I had. The 1859 cent was the narrow 9 variety and probably would have graded out VF. I was actually going to give him more, but he stopped me. He just wanted the 1859 cent.
