http://cgi.ebay.com/25th-Anniversary-Panda-Commemorative-Set-W-Deluxe-Case_W0QQitemZ320297639523QQihZ011QQcategoryZ257QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Ebay is full of all kinds of these type sets. They have super low starting bids(they don't even have any bidders). The descriptions don't seem to tell anything about the coin composition. Shipping is $170.00 or so. Do a search for just Commemoratives on ebay and it's flooded with these sets. I wonder if the sellers could even understand your email. Someone could buy these sets for under $1, is the sets fake? Or is the seller not wise to the auction pricing(he could lose alot at under $1 a set, unless he makes it on the shipping. All of the sellers feedback seems to be from jewerly items. 100% positive feedback.

I wouldn't touch it, there is no real description of what you are buying. I think they are reproductions kind of like franklin mint stuff.
not worth the risk, if it looks to good to be true............;)

a similar set was sold by Panda America and was an official set by the China mint. I wanted the silver set, but was a bit outside my price range.. the gold set was completely unobtainable for me lol I would check the web site of Panada America (they are an authroized reseller of China Mint stuff) and compare the sets to what is in the above link :)

Today the link says "listing was removed." Apparently something unsavory was going on... hmmmm...

Also, always check the shipping. On some of these I noticed shipping charges of up to $120. Yikes.

And yes, as already mentioned, the golden rule on eBay is, if it looks too good to be true, it very very very likely is.

So after we stopped accepting toys made of Lead, they started to use the stuff for coins? Be carefull buying from any foreign country. Remember if your not happy with your purchase, not easy to sue them for the money.:)
And going there to get your money back is also not cost effective.:)

Ebay, coins, and China. Three words you should never hear in the same sentence.
