Hey everyone, I was just curious to hear your thoughts on how I did on this 1852 Braided Hair Large Cent. I bought it off the bay for $5.48 with $2.00 shipping. I am focused on completing the Braided hair set. I have 1847, 1848, and now the 1852. Slowly but surely I am adding to my set; but then again I have all my life to continue collecting these; so what's the rush? My brother (greglax45) and I fuel our ebay expenses through selling unused "stuff" we find around our house. We have made quite a few bucks that way. Have a great weekend CT! -N. Brenn
for $7.28, really good I think....but IDK I'd be skeptic of anything going that low on fleabay though that one does lok to be a decent grade problem free coin...very nice stainless
I've been looking into getting early 1800's Large cents. I find them fascinating that 1 cent coins used to be as large as quarters, and the designs are beautiful. I definitely have added a few to my wantlist I was actually looking at one like your's graded AU55. They look so much better in higher grades/conditions. Your's is very nice though!
Looks like a good honest circulated coin. At that price it's hard to go wrong. Good luck on your collection.
$7.48 ? Heck, you can barely get a Big Mac and supersize fries for that money. And large cents don't cause cardiovascular disease. Sure... for $7.48, how can you go wrong ? Congrats !
