I have always wanted to have a gold roman coin so yesterday I took the plunge and bought this. Honorius, Western Roman Empire (AD 393-423). AV solidus (21mm, 4.38 gm, 6h). Ravenna, ca. AD 395-423. D N HONORI-VS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Honorius right, seen from front / VICTORI-A AVGGG, emperor standing relaxed right, left foot on captive with bent knees and large bust, vexillum in right hand, Victory on globe in left; R-V across fields, COMOB in exergue. RIC X 1321.

I also have an AR of the guy who took Constantinople, started the Ottoman Empire, so that Suleiman could at a later time become the Magnificent. Ottoman Turks Sultan Mahmed II 1451-1481 took Constantinople (using CANNONS) in 1453 Serez mint AR 1.2g
I am still looking for a Sultani from Mehmet II myself. They are usually perfectly struck/ ones from Sulieman/ Selim I are crude.
