1. When do coins start getting "high End" and hard to find for Walkers? Would it be MS-64, or not until MS-65? 2. What are the semi - key dates? I can see what most of them are, but I have read that the 1944-s and the 1947-D are also, because they are tough to find in MS-63 or higher. Is that True? stainless
I presume that you are talking about uncs. The 1941S and 1942 S are definate keys in high grades. Just try to find decent strikes. I searched for years, back in the late 1970's, and finally completed a nice short set. But, I have no idea how or when I sold them.
1921 and 1921-D are key dates. I guess you could call the 1916-S and 1938-D semi-keys because they are less expensive than the 21 and 21-D. At least in circulated grades. I'm not sure about the Uncs.
Ok, thanks for the help what about the 44-s? I just picked up a PCGS MS-64 of that one because I need it for either my type set or my heritage set (my gpas birthyear..lol, but I may use it for the type set). stainless
The '44 s is very tough, especially if full struck, just check the thumb on the chest. is there is detail there, you did very well. normal is very flatly struck.
