A few rough VOC duits. I suspect the green ones may have been recovered from shipwrecks.

This was an unidentified "gift coin" Heavy coin about the size of a large US cent. It a bit worn and rough.

 

Big head, left and ship's prow. I bet Bing could ID that one, or come close.

 

Worn, cleaned and corroded

India Dhar State 1/4 Anna, 1887

 

1946 Thailand 10 and 25 satang, made of zinc. Seems that metal did not hold up very well.

 

Burma 1/4 Pe, 1878

 

I guess the theme is still rough coins. I visited the USA a few years ago, for the first time in ages. I was quite surprised to find this nickel in pocket change. Beautiful coin, a shame it got so banged up. Since then I have purchased the whole Westward Journey 2005 P D S series, mounted in plastic.

 

I have no more rough coins....

 

OK, I will come up with a new theme. Double digits. 1919, 1818, 1717, and so on. Here is a 1919 Canada one cent. OK to use other calendars, such as AH, VS, BE, etc.

 

I found this one to offer. I will look for some more tomorrow.

Obverse looks like Janus, or at least a two-headed deity of some kind. Ships prow probably means Roman republican?

 

George I 1717 Farthing - one of the scarcest farthings for the 18th century:
