    these images have been circulating for a while, and have been posted here before... it makes me sick each and every time i see them :(

    You see the photos are from Jinghua shei , who is also an ebay seller of "reproduction" currency. Some of the complaints against him are that the reproductions are not stamped and the word replica looks superimposed over the image, imo and of the opinion of at least one major contributer to a coin periodical. By the way the translation of his seller name can literally mean Who's Pure? I don't know what he's trying to accomplish, but hey at least you have some more of the story

    brings home the point why you should always carry a small digital gram scale when coin shopping, esp when buying silver dollars. Check the weight and if it is light there is VERY good chance it is fake. You can pick these scales up for under $30 on ebay.
