most often the coins I want are in the $50 range, but as I specialize the coins I want are getting more and more expensive and I save to get those $200 coins.

    depends on what I'm getting

my canadian commemorative silver dollars run from 10-40 on average with 3-4 above that but when talking about an ancient the ammount sky rockets to around 100-200 right now which can take a few weeks to get since i'm a student lol

Mine depends also on what I need for my sets. Some coins I'll spend $20-50 each, although I've spent well over $1000. Usually, on an average coin show trip I'll spend around $500 and come home with 2 or 3 coins.

I put 50-150...but I took the question as asking how much I spend on average as in an average visit, not per coin. I never buy just one coin, unless it's pretty expensive. But, I can pick up two or three for on average about $120 or so....and the wife never catches on :D

I buy $50 (price guide) coins and pay between $200-$1,000 for them. Most of my other coins are for my registry set and are well, they are more than $150.

I spent $2.35 on a proof single this week, then more on others. It depends on the coin:smile

p.s. FWIW, I buy two types of coins -- expensive ones (to me), and cheap ones. Because the expensive coins are, well, expensive, I don't buy them often (one every few months typically), and I buy cheap ones between larger purchase to keep my collecting juices flowing.

    Too much!

I spend more than I can afford and need a coin addiction group! I have spent over a $1000 on a coin but routinely spend $10-150. As I have got into the "sport" I have upgraded to nicer coins and just joined NGC reigistry for my Indians, Lincolns and Morgans and have now put those in safe deposit box. Am trying to get all my nicer raw coins graded which is expensive as you all know.

Usually between 10-50 per coin. I try to buy $100-$200 a month worth of coins/silver. I use these investments as hobby/savings account!
