    I think if the listing said "SGS PR70" then it would violate ebay's rule.

    I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to mention the grade in the description either, unless it's graded by an eBay approved TPG.

    considering it is aboncom ... its actually NOT a bad looking coin for a pr-70 grade, in a aboncom slab, i would expect to see scratches or wear marks on a pr-70 coin.

    heck. .. if the price doesnt get that high ... :rolleyes:

    No! It is not against eBay policy. It does not say SGS anywhere not does it say MS/PR70 in the title. I realize that it implies the same, but it does not say it.

    If you feel like hitting your head on a wall, you can report it at;

    http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...%A0Selling+Coins&instruction=&expirationDate=

    If you really want to report something against their policy, try this one (also abon[com]);

    I have no idea why they will not pull such listings, but they make an exception for live auctions - that is their words, not mine.

    You can offer an opinion in the description of the grade. You can't claim it to be certified unless it's an ebay approved tpg. SGS aint one of them and is probably one of the biggest reasons for the not so new rule.

    Live auctions play by different rules. For the time being anyway.

    BUT HE SAYS:
    "In our opinion this coin would be graded PR70 CAMEO. "

    I thought that you can't use numbers.

    You can use numbers in your description. Not the listing and you can't claim them to be certified.

    Please tell me where they have published that fact. I have been unable to find it.

    I will see if I can find it for you. It's a maze in there.

    Ok, I can't find anything from ebay and I'm done looking. If you go to ebay's coin and paper money discussion board you can type "live auction" in the search the board tab and see it's been discussed quite a bit.

    I am not disagreeing in the least that it is their policy. Here is eBay's answer to me;

    It just bugs me that they have all these policies and exceptions, but they only announce them when you have a problem. Here is another quirk I ran into;

    but this is their published policy;

    Ebay is soon ending all " live " auctions, even Heritage and Bowers and Merena, etc

    E-bay pulled one of my big-money auctions of a G4 Walker because I used "G-4" in the title. I could have said "Good", "Sweet", "Awesome", or "Nice", but not "G-4"

    You should have followed Abon's lead and called it "Good, 4 thumbs up!" ;)

    I have never found any eBay "live" auction to be fairly priced. Everytime I come across
    one of these auctions, the starting prices are often way too high and the buyer's commission adds further to the pain.
