Hi.. Everybody while renovating the house we came across some money. 2 1954 one hundred dollar bills and 2 fifty dollar bills. The one hundred dollar bills has the devil's face on it what is the value of these bills? Thanks Cougrrr
i am guessing with the devils face comment, that these are from Canada? I would also have to assume, that you might know a thing or two about currency Not many folks, including some collectors knows about the devils face If you are talking US notes, i am lost then too about the devils face For value, condition is most important. With that being said... could you post pics? and lastly, welcome to the forum
Greetings and Welcome to Coin Talk Cougrrr...:hail: Although I have heard the term 'Devil's Face' several times, I don't know anything about it. Can anyone post a Devil's face note and explain why it's so called?
Canadian $100.00 Thanks ! here is pictures of the bill. Some one wrote on the bill above the Queen's head. rest of it in good shape but !!
I personally do not collect foreign notes, however, reading about the Canadian Notes with a "Devils Face" seems the designer was accused of engraving the redition of the Devils Face in the hair of the Queen. If you look at the lower right side of her hair doo....you can make out the Devils face from the top of the side roll down to the bottom of the hair doo. Post pics as mentioned... RickieB
No problem.....on this note it is pretty easy to see the "nose" is more or less in the middle...from there you can make out the upper head, eyes, ect..ect... RickieB
Your Devil's face bill Do you still have it and if so can you send me a scan of it? If you can my brother may be able to give you a quote on that one and an offer for one of them as he has been looking for a note like this I am sure of it.
Welcome Tim, please post a thread in the introduction forum, there are alot of us from Michigan on this forum
